A Ray of Hope

When I got enough confidence, the stage was gone.
When I was sure of losing, I won.
When I needed people the most, they left me.
When I learned to dry my tears, I found a shoulder to cry on.
And when I mastered the art of hating, somebody started loving me.
A ray of hope always awaits you after the dark clouds.

Mobile technology improved people’s life in many ways. They satisfy almost every need with the emerging online marketplaces. The size of mobile phones have reduced considerably thus making them easy to carry. With high-end graphic features, mobile phones are equally good as computers. The most imperative advantage of mobile technology is its convenience. It can improve communication skills and yes parents would be less concerned about their little ones by being in constant touch with them. Mobile phone can be used from remote places to high mountain ranges as well. Even in the remote areas with the help of GPS, one can find routes to the destination without asking anybody. Now it’s possible to communicate with people whose language is unknown to us with the use of translator facilities in mobiles. People become much closer with each other through social networking apps, voice or video calling and through texting. In this mobo tech world people can sit and relax in their spare time thus entertaining themselves through this “life’s good” tool. It is the most comfortable way to contact with friends and family with a simple touch. This technology really boosts the people’s ability to deal with emergency situations. People can use it to surf internet, read e-books, booking of a travel or movie tickets, take photos and videos and so on. This list is endless and the great thing is that this little box still has expanding possibilities. It is not yet fully unfolded and in the future, there are many more chances of its advancements.

Every coin has two sides! Although mobile technology brings expediency to human’s lives it impacts their life both at mental as well as mechanical level when overused. People become lazy to do things on their own efforts such as visiting a grocery store or a friend. They overlook the actual purpose of the phone and squander a great amount of their valuable time in useless gossips. People have stopped thinking on their own when problems occur because of mobile technology. They use them even while driving which has led the statistics of yearly accidents to bypass. Moreover, there are some people who misuse this technology to exploit other’s privacy. These cell phones emit low levels of radio frequency (RF) radiations which can damage tissues around eyes and testicles. They can lead to various health issues as well such as migraine, memory loss or even cancer. It has a great impact on teenagers. They use mobile phones as a medium to cheat in exams. They spend their valuable time on this device and thus obstructing their studies.

Thus it can be concluded that its benefits are subjective and its usage is highly influenced by the mindset of people. It is a boon of technology if not used inarticulately.

Does Social Media bring us together or isolate us?

The answer to this question is not that obvious and it will definitely differ from person to person based on their perception of relationships virtually and physically. I personally believe that for sure social media has brought us closer, but still it can never replace the bond we share with those people whom we have personal interactions or human contacts, though it has been successful in enhancing those already build up soul connections by keeping us more intact or close through a medium always available in our hands.
Social media, since the time it has gained importance, is known to form social constructive interactions between like-minded people. Beyond just the power of networking, people have used this medium to grow their businesses and in some cases, many startups flourished from it and are now big giant industry leaders. Social media does this impactfully by bridging the gap between people that otherwise may not be able to connect sometimes because of geographical boundaries or sometimes in the lack of proper connection between them. We can see many examples around us, which clearly tell us how social media has helped in making connections before joining new office premises or a college campus. It is human nature to feel little worried or frightened before entering a new space with which we are not much aware of. With social media, we can now easily get to know the people who will be surrounding us for the next couple of years. This is because, despite our new environments and extremely varied backgrounds, we already have an acquaintance-like connection from Facebook.
In today's world, social media has become our greatest asset but at the same time our greatest impediment too. Though it has numerous benefits still it is dividing people, by deteriorating the most valuable relationships they have earned by face to face communication. Particularly if we talk about this generation, the impact of the digital media is more and even rising up with the coming generations. It's sad that we can not even go for a day out without our mobile phones or laptops, forgetting how to enjoy and live our lives in a way it should be.
I believe social media makes people closer who are farther but farther from the people who are closer to us.
